Permissions management

iam:DetachUserPolicy is a Permissions management access-level action in the iam service. Grants permission to detach a managed policy from the specified IAM user

Resource types

ARNs that iam:DetachUserPolicy can be scoped to in an IAM policy.

arn:${Partition}:iam::${Account}:user/${UserNameWithPath}

Condition keys

Keys you can use in the Condition block of a policy that grants iam:DetachUserPolicy.

iam:ResourceTag/${TagKey} String

Filters access by the tags attached to an IAM entity (user or role)

aws:ResourceTag/${TagKey} String

Filters access based on the tags associated with the resource

Example IAM policy

A minimal policy that allows iam:DetachUserPolicy. Replace "Resource": "*" with a specific ARN to follow least privilege.
